Adding to the festivities at the Punch & Judy Faire and providing a dramatic finale to the week of workshops, activities and performances was the Giant Puppet Parade. Led by drummers and puppeteers from Mali, Africa the parade meandered on a long journey over the grounds of the beautiful University of Washington campus.

The contagious sounds of several drummers and other musicians interspersed with the amazing array of puppets was absolutely deiightful. This reporter especially enjoyed the spontaneous puppeteers who brought up the rear: four university students working "hard" together to support and manipulate their completely invisible giant puppets!
