The Halo Method

This method is very easy to do.

The Halo Method is a fundamental doodling technique that almost everyone has done at one time or another. In its simplicity, there is an elegance and charm especially when used with care and delight.

Variation #1.   Draw or paint a thin line around each flaw. The line can be continuous or made up of dots or dashes, etc.

Variation #2. Draw or paint a thin line around each flaw of a specifically identified type or group of flaws. For example: draw a red line around every "round stain," draw a blue line around every "elongated stain," etc.

Variation #3.Draw or paint additional concentric lines around the initial flaw announcings completed in #1 or #2 above. Carried to its natural conclusion, this method can generate a complete and densely covered surface.
